Working in coordination with The Mercy House church (located in the old Shadeland Elementary building at 1525 W. 14th), The Shadeland Project is comprised of: <br /><ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">S.T.A.R. (Shadeland Tutoring and Recreation):</span> Free elementary after-school program for grades K-5 offering nutritious meals, homework help, arts and recreational activities in a safe, encouraging environment. </li><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Shadeland Thrift:</span> West-side thrift store that exists to provide low-cost items (most items priced at $1) to the Anderson community. Shadeland Thrift is completely volunteer-run and all income goes to keep the store running. </li><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Shadeland Bicycle Collective:</span> A non-profit organization serving Anderson with the vision to get bicycles into the hands of people who need them.
